FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the high-top and the standard 2–3 seater?
The main difference is the roof height and the feel inside. The high-top gives you significantly more headroom, so you can move around, get dressed, and cook without hunching over. Everything else — the bed size, kitchen setup, seating, and storage — is the same. If you’re planning a longer trip or just want more breathing room day to day, the high-top is worth it.
Can I stand up inside the high-top?
Yes! That’s the main reason people choose it. The high-top roof is 2,280mm tall, which gives most travellers comfortable standing room. It makes a big difference when you’re getting ready in the morning, cooking, or just hanging out on a rest day.
Who is this van best suited for?
This van works really well for two people — whether that’s a couple, two mates, or a couple travelling with a young child. It legally seats three in the front and sleeps two inside on the double bed. If one person is happy to use a tent, you can comfortably accommodate a third person on a trip without things feeling cramped.
How does sleeping work — does the bed stay set up?
The van has a fixed double bed (1,880 x 1,370mm), so you don’t need to convert anything before bed each night. Just climb in. The internal seating is separate and folds away to give you more floor space when you’re not sleeping. It’s a much more liveable setup than vans where you have to dismantle the dining area every night.
Where is the kitchen, and what does it include?
The kitchen pulls out from the back of the van — it’s a slide-out outdoor setup, so you set it up outside and cook in the fresh air. It comes with two butane stoves, pots and pans, cooking gear, and a 43L esky. Cooking outside is part of the campervan experience, and the slide-out design keeps smells and steam out of your sleeping area.
Does the high-top have air conditioning?
There’s air conditioning in the cabin (front seats), which is great for driving. Inside the van itself, the optional light and fan add-on is the best way to keep things comfortable on warm nights — especially in summer in the north. Many travellers add this to their booking and find it makes a real difference.
Is there enough storage for a longer trip?
Yes — the internal seating doubles as a storage compartment, and there’s additional space underneath the pop-up table. It’s a well-thought-out use of space. That said, like any campervan, it rewards travelling light. If you’re heading away for two or more weeks, packing smartly (and using the external table and chairs add-on to keep things accessible) makes life on the road much easier.
Is this van suitable for a trip to Karijini or up north?
Absolutely — this van is a popular choice for the Perth to Exmouth and Karijini routes. Just keep in mind that a one-time Karijini fee of $150 applies, and the van is suited to well-maintained unsealed 2WD roads (an additional $5/day charge applies for these). It’s not a 4WD, so very rough or technical tracks aren’t suitable, but the vast majority of WA’s iconic destinations are easily accessible in this van.
