We rented a campervan from Home on the Road for our latest adventure and absolutely loved it! The booking itself was completely uncomplicated. The van was in top condition – clean, modern and equipped with everything we needed for our trip.
We particularly liked the well thought-out details in the interior, which made the camper really comfortable. We had a real home on four wheels. The handover and return also went smoothly and the price-performance ratio was absolutely fair.

Three of us took a campervan down the coast of WA and it was perfect! It had everything we needed and more than enough room for 3 people. Everything folded away efficiently and was super easy to set up and down. Definitely recommend this when planning any kind of roadtrip for a short or long period of time 🚗

My two friends and I had the bestest of time with Home On The Road☺️✨
We went on a 4 day roadtrip down south of WA. Jacko (our cozy van) was the best, very comfortable and easy to drive. It was equipped with all the kitchen amenities needed and more.
The roof top tent was spacious too!
Would 1000% recommend!

Unfortunately, one thing we had to deal with is the technical web issue to register the van and ourselves. However, with Rod, we did not feel uneasy but rather enjoyed our time in the workshop. He took us through the van thoroughly he is fantastic. We are sorry there was a lady too (we forgot her name), she explained the do and don't and places we should visit with our 14 days trip. These are amazing people! Thanks for making a great start to our Australia road trip 👋

Had a great experience with HOTR’s van and staff. Vehicle slept 2 comfortably, and drove very smoothly on sealed roads. Equipped with most necessities for a road trip. Big windows kept blind spots to a minimum.

Staff were very responsive to our queries and requests. Great value for money with absolutely no regrets choosing HOTR for our month-long adventure!

Would have loved it if awning rental was an add-on option. Also a tip for future travellers, get the tyre and windscreen insurance. WA is huge and road-trains kick up a cloud of dust and debris when they pass by you. Better safe than sorry!

If you are driving straight from Home on the Road to Broome, you will arrive at your destination in 22 hours. But we recommend that you take your campervan and visit other locations like Exmouth on your drive. In fact, our team recommends that you drive along Ningaloo and visit Karijini National Park. This is your chance to relish the Indian Ocean in one of the best snorkelling locations in the world!

Once you pick up your rental in Perth, it will take you 7.5 hours to be in Esperance. We recommend stopping by Albany and Denmark on your drive.

Perth is Australia’s most isolated city (arguably the world’s most isolated city). This is because it is geographically distant from other major cities.

The closest city with a population of over 1 million is Adelaide, which is about 2,130 kilometres (1,324 miles) away. Surrounded by vast expanses of ocean and desert, Perth’s nearest international neighbour, Jakarta, is over 3,000 kilometres (1,864 miles) away. This isolation has given Perth a unique cultural and natural environment, distinct from other parts of Australia and the world.
